A Butler’s Pantry, or ‘BP’ in Three Birds lingo, was a luxury we simply couldn’t afford in our first houses in terms of both money and space, but we’re happy to announce that we have finally created one in Bon’s Dream Home! Now we’re not all going to die wondering if they’re worth it – it’s mega! Actually, it’s more of a butler’s kitchen than pantry.

Sophie wanted to keep the kitchen light-filled and open, so decided to ditch any overhead cabinetry and stick with below-bench storage. Lucky for her, the concrete island bench is 5-whole-metres long, meaning there’s so much room for storage on both sides of it.

The rumours are true ..... we're revealing Bon's Dream Kitchen this week! It was just too good to hold back. Kitchens are the heart of the home and Bon has literally plonked her huge kitchen right in the middle of the house, making an almighty statement with a 5x2m island bench #thatsnotatypo.

This style combines my two favourite looks - coastal + farmhouse. I love the FEEL of "coastal" even more than the look. As I said in Reno School, the FEEL of a home is the most important element to interior and exterior design. Coastal design makes me feel relaxed and I guess that's why it's such a popular style - especially in Australia where it works so well with our gorgeous climate. Even though most of us don't live on the coastline, that doesn't mean you can't create a coastal home #yeswayrose.

Of all the spaces someone can renovate, I think the kitchen can be the most challenging. It’s usually the heart of the home and whether you’re a MasterChef or ReluctantChef, it’s a major feature of your space, so you want it to look good. Yes, there are ways to renovate a kitchen on a budget but it is still usually one of the most expensive rooms in a home, so you need to be happy with the end result. And if all that wasn’t pressure enough, we know that ‘kitchens sell houses’ so this is a real reno moment where you can add some serious value #kaching #kaching.

YAY! And not only are we revealing my Santorini-style kitchen but also an innovative new room that I guarantee you've never heard of before! This room was a must-have in my "forever home" but if you Google it, I promise there will be no results... except for a random business in New Mexico that happens to go by the same name ;-)
