We're kicking off Episode One in the heart of the home, the kitchen. Once a small dark room at the back of the house, our vision was to bring the kitchen out of the shadows and into the spotlight, with a view of the water and with open plan access to the dining, laundry and lounge rooms too.
We can't wait to share the transformation with you! Let us know what you think below. x

Right from our early days of flipping houses, weโve been big believers in the mantra that โstreet appeal is Kingโ. A fancy facade goes a long way towards luring potential buyers into a flip house and is sure to put a smile on your dial at your own place too! #homesweethome So, donโt let go of your ultimate reno dream, but in the meantime, here are some budget friendly ways to satiate your reno appetite:
Just when you thought we'd left you hanging... we're back!!! Our BIG REVEAL of House 13 STARTS NOW and she's our biggest project yet!
We're kicking off Episode One with the Pool and Pool house. We created this to be the ultimate entertaining space that doubles as a guest house when the party kicks on and the friends and fam stay over.
Call it a stroke of genius or a moment of madness, Sophie decided to bring the Peppa Hart office under the roof of her Mediterranean Farmhouse to mix her busy business with raising her babes. Soph hated wasting time commuting to and from work, so this space is literally 10 steps from her master suite but all completely seperateโฆ. Soph loves the idea of spending max time with her kids before she starts her work day and as soon as she clocks off in the evening she is straight into mum mode. The office is located upstairs away from the busy household downstairs, when kids and hubby are home the office can work in peace.
Pop the bubbly gang, it's the LAST HURRAH for House 10! It's been a HUGE project for usโฆ with so many firsts: our first collaboration with the amazingly stylish 'fourth bird', Sophie Bell @peppahart, our first new build #wontbethelast and our first out-of-town project #mightbethelast #exhausted!
Hey gang, it's that time of the week again! Episode 5 is now LIVE!
Life's busy for the Bell family with two young babes, so their mantra is
"if you can't go to the party, bring the party to you!". And that we did!
We think you're going to love the white-on-white pool and sundeck, over-sized daybed, swinging bar chair... and wait, did somebody say pizza oven?!
A gorgeous garden can totally be the cherry on the top of your dream home renovation. Done well, landscaping has the ability to transform the street appeal of your house and make it feel like a home youโll never want to leave. BUT, did you know that the biggest mistake we see when it comes to home renos lies in the garden.
When you want to build a coastal home, but donโt live anywhere near the coast, it can be a bit challenging. But thatโs where a pool can be your saviour. Not only will it keep you cool and provide hours of fun for the family, but it can also give you your very own water views!
This little ugly duckling of a house needed a lot of help in the roof department! The original tiles left a lot to be desired but we didnโt have the budget to splash the cash on a whole new roof. We wanted the extension to complement rather than contrast the original roof, so needed to find the perfect crown to sit atop this little black beauty.
Itโs no secret that I love a good alfresco area and thatโs because I think it has the ability to make your house feel like a home you never want to leave. #holidayathome
Shut the bar door, can you believe weโre already up to Episode 5? #timeflieswhenyourehavingfun #finalenextmonday #wewontletyoudownlikethebachie
When it came to the exterior of Bonnieโs dream home, there were no prizes for guessing what material she was going to choose. She always only had #hearteyes for weatherboard. Sheโs dreamed about a weatherboard house for ever and this was her chance to bring her dreams to life.
I have a confession to make, I have a crush on Bonnieโs roof. Donโt get me wrong, Iโm really happy with my own roof and we have a strong relationship, but thereโs no denying Bonโs new roof has caught my eye and knocked my socks off!
Wow gang, we can hardly believe it, tonightโs episode is the GRAND FINALE of Bonnieโs Dream Home reveal! Episode 9 is now live, featuring the front faรงade, barn and garden ๐กAnd that special moment weโve all been waiting for when Bonโs family explores their new home #makesitallworthit #homesweethome.
Guys, itโs this simple... ditch the TV and the kids will be out of your Adultsโ Retreat faster than I chug down my first coffee of the day. Believe me, youโll have the room to yourselves in no time! #funnybuttrue
The only problem in my house is that my husbandโs not that sold on the no TV idea either. And without him, the โNathan and Bonnie roomโ becomes just the โBonnie roomโ, and whereโs the fun in that? Actually, donโt answer that โ sounds like plenty fun to me ๐Whatโs he not getting about that amazing Spanish Door print (link) where the TV โshouldโ be? And what about all the D&Ms we could have lying back on those dreamy sofas sans TV blaringโฆ #notgonnahappen
Some wise soul once said โnever work with animals or childrenโ โ fair point I say!!! The mere thought wreaks havoc with my clean freak brain. But Bonโs a braver girl than I and happily welcomed Australian House & Garden magazine into her dream home to shoot the cover and feature article for their July Winter edition.
Lana may have likened my outdoor area to being โwhiter than a blizzard at Thredboโ in its early stages. But believe me, there was method in my monochrome madness! I just hadnโt finished yet!
Itโs possible to create an all-white area, without it looking like a total white-out. The key is in mixing up the materials that you choose but keeping them all within the same colour tone. Start introducing different colours and your area risks looking like Nanaโs patchwork quilt!
My family and I pretty much live to entertain. We can think of nothing better than filling our new dream home with family and friends - eating, drinking, chatting #makingmemories. And what better place to do it than in the ultimate outdoor entertaining area!
How do you create a coastal lifestyle when you're nowhere near the coast?
Rule #1 - create water views ... from every room
Rule #2 - strategically place palm trees ... like they were chess pieces
Rule #3 - hang a floating day bed .... for that Mrs-Sippy-Bali-Vibe
Rule #4 - create a white-out .... to rival a blizzard at Thredbo
Rule #5 - make sure there's enough seating ... for 200 people
I think I've already told you that my forever home has been in the works for years... long before Three Birds was born. And like most people, I engaged an architect early on to draw up some plans.
But after Three Birds began and we'd renovated a few houses, my eyes were opened up to new design ideas and I felt like I knew exactly what our dream home needed to be... so I picked up a pencil and started to draw it.
