We're kicking off Episode One in the heart of the home, the kitchen. Once a small dark room at the back of the house, our vision was to bring the kitchen out of the shadows and into the spotlight, with a view of the water and with open plan access to the dining, laundry and lounge rooms too.
We can't wait to share the transformation with you! Let us know what you think below. x

Do you have Champagne taste on a prosecco budget? #ustoo
We hear you, gang! Sometimes when weโre renovating it seems like thereโs a constanbattle against the budget, but when it comes to styling your home you donโt need to fret.
Weโre big fans of freedom for furnishings because theyโve got a huge range of gorgeous products that wonโt break the bank.
Watch how Bonnie styled the lounge in House 9, from sofas to sideboards, console tables, rugs and ba-zillions of cushions, we found it all at freedom.
We're super pumped it's that time of the week again when we get to share more of #thehinterlandhideaway with you! If you loved the tiles we used in the laundry, get excited because there's lots more tile goodness coming your way this week, as well as some damn hot rendered internal walls. And another gorgeous wall niche because #mediterraneanfarmhouse
Well, the secret of our first ever collaboration is out and you guys are goodโฆ. hands up if you picked the homeowner and collaborator of our next project? Sophie Bell aka @peppahart
Sophโs Instagram tags have been going off the Richter scale over the past few weeks as you sneaky peeps have guessed sheโs the other half of our #threebirdsxpeppahart collab.
When it comes to the way we like to live in our homes, Sophie and I are kindred spirits. We both love beautiful interiors and we want them to be used and enjoyed by friends and family, the more the merrier. Lana will tell you this is her worst nightmare in her shoe-free home, but whatโs a few muddy feet between friends! #orchocolateonthewhitesofa
Hot on the heels of The Hinterland Hideawayโs kitchen reveal, let's take a look at what's on the other side of that huge open-plan space.
Sophie and her family love to entertain so thereโll be no shortage of places for friends and fam to sit, chat and relax in this #mediterraneanfarmhouse, that's #fosho!
The front entry of your home is soooo important. It's the first thing you experience when walking through your front door so it needs to make you FEEL amazing (especially after a long day - we've all had them #likeeveryday)!
We're starting off with a BANG in this latest series of Three Birds TV, revealing our kitchen in the first episode! Why wait we thought? Let's get this pretty party started from Week 1. Press play below to watch Ep 1 now! Can't wait to see what you think of #theboldextension.
Iโve always had a soft spot for the coast. Some of my fondest memories are of family holidays spent at the beach. And thereโs no denying that those times had a big impact on my inspiration for my dream home. Even way back then I remember looking at all the big, white, coastal homes and thinking they were so beautiful. My dream home was always going to be white weatherboard, with palm trees, water glimpses and casual furnishings with pops of luxe.
Now that we've revealed all of Bon's house, many of you have been asking what to do with your Monday nights? #greatquestion We have the answer! We've gone back through our archives to pull out our favourite Three Birds TV episodes from previous renovations. It's been so great looking back at these very different projects and even picking up on where Bon may have got some of her inspo for her Dream Home.
Guys, itโs this simple... ditch the TV and the kids will be out of your Adultsโ Retreat faster than I chug down my first coffee of the day. Believe me, youโll have the room to yourselves in no time! #funnybuttrue
The only problem in my house is that my husbandโs not that sold on the no TV idea either. And without him, the โNathan and Bonnie roomโ becomes just the โBonnie roomโ, and whereโs the fun in that? Actually, donโt answer that โ sounds like plenty fun to me ๐Whatโs he not getting about that amazing Spanish Door print (link) where the TV โshouldโ be? And what about all the D&Ms we could have lying back on those dreamy sofas sans TV blaringโฆ #notgonnahappen
The main living room is always going to be the most used room in our house. Itโs a gorgeous open space, surrounded by so much natural light. Yeah, so much that my Mum insists on wearing her sunglasses while she relaxes on the lounge.
I wanted this room to be totally casual and inviting, but totally chic. Think relaxed but luxeโฆ thatโs a thing, right? Letโs call it โre-luxeโโฆ sounds a bit like reflux. Urgh, no. But you get what I mean! This room needs to be comfy enough to relax in but durable enough for boys of all sizes to throw themselves on the lounge, put their feet up and relax while we watch a movie.
How do you create a coastal lifestyle when you're nowhere near the coast?
Rule #1 - create water views ... from every room
Rule #2 - strategically place palm trees ... like they were chess pieces
Rule #3 - hang a floating day bed .... for that Mrs-Sippy-Bali-Vibe
Rule #4 - create a white-out .... to rival a blizzard at Thredbo
Rule #5 - make sure there's enough seating ... for 200 people
Ok gang, if you're looking for some door inspo #whoisnt, Episode Four is for you. It's a total French-door-athon! Bon has loved French doors since our very first reno and has put them in almost every Three Birds renovation since .... so when it came to her Dream Home she really unleashed the beast but this time, with a twist.
C'mon gang, we all love master suites and the idea of creating the ultimate parents retreat sits atop most people's wish list when renovating their dream home. So we're super pumped to share with you some master suite inspo for the ages.
The rumours are true ..... we're revealing Bon's Dream Kitchen this week! It was just too good to hold back. Kitchens are the heart of the home and Bon has literally plonked her huge kitchen right in the middle of the house, making an almighty statement with a 5x2m island bench #thatsnotatypo.
This style combines my two favourite looks - coastal + farmhouse. I love the FEEL of "coastal" even more than the look. As I said in Reno School, the FEEL of a home is the most important element to interior and exterior design. Coastal design makes me feel relaxed and I guess that's why it's such a popular style - especially in Australia where it works so well with our gorgeous climate. Even though most of us don't live on the coastline, that doesn't mean you can't create a coastal home #yeswayrose.
