We know that a parent's retreat is usually right up there on the wish list when creating a family home and we're sure this one will not disappoint! It's got an open-plan bedroom and ensuite, and as if a double shower wasn't enough, there's another on the balcony, for good measure. And it's totally private thanks to this secluded rainforest setting. Note: please don't try this in suburbia!

When it comes to the way we like to live in our homes, Sophie and I are kindred spirits. We both love beautiful interiors and we want them to be used and enjoyed by friends and family, the more the merrier. 5 THINGS YOU WOULDN'T EXPECT IN OUR LATEST KITCHEN

Sophie wanted to keep the kitchen light-filled and open, so decided to ditch any overhead cabinetry and stick with below-bench storage. Lucky for her, the concrete island bench is 5-whole-metres long, meaning there’s so much room for storage on both sides of it.

HOUSE 10: SEE OUR DREAM BLOCK!

Here she is! Our beautiful block, hand-picked for our Three Birds’ House 10! This will be our FIRST ever ‘new build’ and finding the perfect block was one of the most important tasks we took on. This block already has a long driveway (to nowhere though) and we’ll be putting the house right up the back where the cleared land curves around deeper into the bush.

THE CROWNING GLORY OF HOUSE 9

This little ugly duckling of a house needed a lot of help in the roof department! The original tiles left a lot to be desired but we didn’t have the budget to splash the cash on a whole new roof. We wanted the extension to complement rather than contrast the original roof, so needed to find the perfect crown to sit atop this little black beauty.
