For our 11th house it was time to mix things up a little. We asked these brave homeowners to handover their keys, their budget and all creative license… and they agreed! So, we sent them on their merry way and jumped into action stations to create the family home they’ve always dreamed of.
Read MoreIt’s been our bible for the whole reno journey. When it came to choosing paint colours, tiles, flooring, furniture, light fittings (you get the gist!)… guess who we turned to first? Ye olde faithful vision board! That’s right, she’s got all the answers right there on one page.
Read MoreIt’s safe to say we have a penchant for white. Dulux White on White, Casper White Quarter, Lexicon Half… give us ALL the white! But that doesn’t mean we don’t like to use colour in our projects too – heck, check out the River Shack! And there’s good reason House 11 is hashtagged #COLOURmehamptons #spoileralert

Read MoreFor our eleventh project we’re back on home turf, in suburban Sydney. Home to a lovely family of five, this house is your typical Aussie plain Jane, double-storey, brick build. She’s on a great sized block but is definitely lacking street appeal.
Read MoreWho doesn’t love a sticky beak at other people’s renos? If your hand’s not up we don’t believe you! That’s why we want to show you 5 beautiful bathrooms we love… not ours this time. These bathrooms are the hard work of 5 Reno School students. They shared them with their fellow students in the Reno School Facebook group and we were so impressed that we wanted to share them with you too.
Read MoreIt’s official! Our most asked question, like EVER, has got to be:
“Which white paint colour shall I choose?”
Great question! But, to be honest, there’s no set-in-stone answer. Call me horrifically biased, but Dulux White on White for interiors and Dulux Snowy Mountains Quarter for exteriors, like we used at my place, are two of my faves.
Read MoreOoooh, boy! The excitement is mounting for Sophie’s open home already and all this chat about it has me flashing back to Bonnie’s first (and last!) open home on that glorious winter day last year.
It was such a thrill to meet so many keen and lovely Reno Schoolers who came from far and wide to have a squiz at Bon’s place. Excuse all my gratuitous shoulder rubs as you arrived, I was so pumped to have you all there in the flesh!

Read MoreWe put a shout out for questions about life in the dream house (Sophie’s, not Barbie’s!) and have been inundated with messages and questions. Soph’s not going to get through them all but we’ve read every single one of them and we really appreciate your lovely comments!
Read MoreWhat does your choice of tiles say about you? Are you confident to push the boat out and make some big, bold choices? Or do you prefer to keep things safe and practical?
Me? I’m all over the shop! But the beauty of my job is that I get to choose so many different tiles for our renovations that I can change my tile style all the time… as long as it matches our vision board.
Read MoreDo not pass go, do not collect $200… before you view this stunning Gold Coast renovation! It’s home to our super-talented Reno School student, Tennille Holt and her hubby, Myles, plus their fur son Hudson and swans Rumi and Sir Carter. This property is hands down amazing…
Read MoreWe had no idea that so many people could get so excited about a front fence! Fences are usually waaaay down the list of “things our gang gets psyched about”, but Soph’s fence certainly caused a stir. #fencefetish
Read MoreTo be quite honest, I thought Sophie had gone completely mad when she told us the location of the land she’d bought to build her dream home. Aaah, where? Doesn’t she know our ‘T minus 5 minutes’ drive’ rule to get coffee? Where’s the closest sushi joint?
