FOUR OF YOUR FAVE RENO SCHOOL TRANSFORMATIONS

BY LANA

The next intake of Reno School is just around the corner #woohoo! Every time we open the doors to a new group of students, I get such a buzz from all the eager beavers sharing their upcoming projects with our Facebook Community. We’ve been so privileged to witness so many family homes getting the TLC they deserve and so many empty blocks, finally having their forever homes built on them. And it’s not just family homes you’ll find in Reno School… we’ve got students working on an Italian style villa in the Loire Valley, a shipping container turned holiday retreat in Vanuatu and a vintage caravan named Dolly… we’ve really seen it all!

We know you love to see these transformations too, which is why these four ah-mazing makeovers are amongst our most-viewed blogs ever! And they’re too good not to share again…

RENO SCHOOLER'S BEACHSIDE BEAUTY

Renovating is a big enough task, but doing it all from another country… well that’s a whole different ball game - and one that Debbie Wong definitely won, hands down! Based in Singapore, whilst renovating in Australia, is not necessarily something that Debbie recommends to other renovating novices but the final result was absolutely worth it.

RENO SCHOOL ROYALTY DOES IT AGAIN!

Emma was one of our very first Reno School students and we’ve followed her projects for a few years now. So, we were thrilled to see that she’s been at it again with another transformation that will blow your socks off.

When Emma purchased this 100-year-old cottage in October last year, she knew it had great potential, being in one of East Toowoomba’s best neighbourhoods, but she certainly had her work cut out for her. When you see the transformation, you’ll hardly believe your eyes!

LUCY MILLER’S UNMISSABLE MID-CENTURY MASTERPIECE

With a passion for mid-century design, Reno Schooler Lucy Miller and her hubby felt like they’d won the lottery when they won their Geelong property at auction, two and a half years ago.

The house was “an unappreciated renovator’s delight” but the large block size, north-facing aspect and the location in a quiet pocket of Geelong, Victoria, was exactly what she was looking for her family of four.

Flash forward a few years and be prepared to be amazed. Lucy’s unrecognisable transformation is brimming with mid-century charm and is dead set gorgeous!

A GOLD STAR GOLD COAST TRANSFORMATION

When they purchased the house back in 2018, Tennille and her hubby Myles were drawn to the house for its gorgeous location on the water and the fact that exterior had recently been updated but still had scope for Tennille to inject her signature style on the property. The inside of the house left a little more room for the couple to make their mark and they gutted the interior - the result? Hands down ah-mazing!
