Five spaces revealed: Boys’ bedrooms, bathroom & media room

Remember Lou’s ‘Stairway to Heaven’? Well, this week we’re heading up it… and revealing what’s waiting at the top. ☀️🇫🇷

Before the reno, all three boys were sharing one very squishy bedroom. So creating this upstairs extension wasn’t just about adding space. It was about giving three growing boys rooms of their own.

And we mean growing rooms. Did you know teenage-proofing is a thing? Just ask Lou. 😬 We designed each bedroom to feel perfect for the boys now, with finishes and scale that’ll comfortably grow with them later.

Because this was a brand new extension, we also had to create character from scratch. And you won’t believe what can be achieved with Intrim mouldings and paint. The boys’ bedrooms each tell three very different little chapters of the Maison Soleil story.

Then there’s the bathroom, complete with a beautiful window framing the palms and a VELUX solar opening skylight above the shower, flooding the room with natural light while helping with ventilation. Practical and pretty. You know that’s always our favourite outcome.

Downstairs, we’ve delivered a second living area as a media room. Right now, it’s a lovely family sanctuary where everyone can pile in together for movie nights. But fast-forward a few years and it’ll really earn its keep, giving three teenage boys somewhere to hang out with their mates and giving Mum and Dad a little breathing room too. Teenage-proofing strikes again. 😬
