HOUSE 12 SNEAK PEEK: WE’RE BAAAACK!
Flashback to November last year when we asked our audience,
“Do you want US to renovate YOUR home?”
We were totally overwhelmed by the response, with over 800 Sydney-siders submitting their homes for consideration. Especially when there was a BIG catch - they’d need to hand over their keys, their budget and full creative control to us!
We spent the next few weeks reviewing applications, doing home visits and meeting contestants for our Three Birds Next Top Model, before stumbling on ‘the chosen one’ - a dated little cottage, on a busy main road, with a flight path overhead and in need of a serious dose of TLC to give her the X-Factor.
Situated in Windsor, a historic town north-west of Sydney, the cute cottage is home to mums, Sarah and Cath and their two sons, Chaise and Addison. We wanted to give this modern family a modern update to their old home.
Get ready to watch as a humble #WindsorCottage gets a renovation fit for #WindsorCastle.

We were only just recovering from all the feels of seeing our gorgeous family's reactions to their ‘new’ home for the first time, when a week later we hosted Cath and Sarah’s special guests for a super special occasion - their dream wedding. The waterworks were in full flow as we witnessed these gorgeous ladies go straight from iso to “I DO”.
Pop the bubbly gang, it's the LAST HURRAH for House 12 and time to celebrate! 🍾
This week we're bringing the backyard to life... but it's not your average family garden. Cath and Sarah will be stepping straight out of iso to 'I do' so this area needs to be wedding-worthy for two beautiful brides!
When you don’t have the space on your floor-plan for a dedicated powder room for guests, we like to make sure that the main bathroom is extra spesh, suitable for the most VIP of visitors. And the bonus is that you’ll get a beautiful bathroom to use every day too.
Q: What do you get if you combine a half-pipe inspired bed with a double dose of mustard, a dash of rattan furniture and some super cool wooden games?
A: A super funky bedroom, that an 11-year-old boy will love.
This week we reveal the room where the curvalicious inspiration all began... 9 year old Addison's bedroom. It was the original curved wall in this room that inspired Bon to replicate the form throughout the house. It's the only the room that hasn't changed structurally... but it certainly has visually.
Erin loves to remind us that “the devil is in the detail” and that rings true for both planning and design of our projects. When planning and designing this new kitchen for our lovely family for four, we wanted to balance the practical elements with the pretty details to make sure they have a family kitchen they’ll love to live in. And it’s all the small details that combine to create the end result.
Westpoint is your one-stop shopping destination in Greater Western Sydney. With over 250 specialty stores (plus all the major department stores) under one roof, we knew it would be the perfect place to shop ourselves silly for items to style the kitchen.
You better believe Bon when she says there’s quite a science to choosing the right appliance! It’s not just about what looks good but also what works well for your family and the way you use your kitchen.
The layout of the previous kitchen meant that Sarah and Cath tangoed around each other to prepare dinner each evening, while the laundry boasted prime position, opening onto the outdoor entertaining space. That had to change, so the Bonnie and Ronnie dream team worked together to put the laundry back in its box and made some sweet kitchen magic to ensure this room is the heart of the home.
When we asked if you had any questions about House 11, we were totally inundated with them (and lovely messages – thank you!). Although we’ve every one and appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us, we’re not going to get through them all so have picked the most frequently asked questions to tackle.
