We wanted to create a bedroom for Chaise that’s fun for now but still practical as he becomes a teenager.

The skate ramp bed is the focal point in the room. We designed it around a King Single size mattress which is the exact same length as an adult King size mattress (203cm), so he won’t be growing out of it any time soon! And this bed is not just for sleeping, it’s chockablock with storage too.

Bon’s choice of wall colour, Dulux ‘Deep Sun’, already had a few eyebrows raised before she made the bold decision to wallpaper the ceiling in a mustard-coloured pattern as well. How on earth do you furnish a mustard room? Well, we needn’t have worried, she had it all sussed out… and found it all at Freedom.
