LANA’S LOUNGE ROOM GOT A MEDITERRANEAN MAKEOVER

Five years of family life can leave any lounge room looking a little tired, so when we revisited Lana’s slice of Santorini in Sydney we took the opportunity to give her living spaces a wee zjoosh to get them ready for the next five and beyond.

The Mediterranean vibes are strong with this house, so there was no room for deviation from Lana’s original vision board - nor would she want there to be. We’re thrilled to report that she’s still in love with her Santorini-inspired vision… and still hasn’t been to Greece!

Check out how we re-styled Lana’s living room with gorgeous pieces from James Lane.

THE KEY PIECES YOU’LL NEED TO CREATE LANA’S LOUNGE ROOM LOOK AT HOME

A COMFY MODULAR SOFA

More seating for bigger kids and a comfy sofa for late night Netflix binges were a must in Lana’s lounge room. She loved the idea of a big sofa that can be reconfigured for movie nights so we chose the Clovelly, which is not only modular but it’s one of James Lane’s most comfy sofas yet. The deep seats with luxurious feather filled seat and scatter cushions makes it a sumptuous lounge with sink in comfort. Because of its large corner chaise and low profile, it’s the perfect sofa to sit in the middle of this lounge room without blocking the view of the TV from the kitchen island. #priorities

LUXE LINEN ARMCHAIRS

These over-sized 1.5 seater armchairs are so snuggly to curl up in with a book or flip your legs over the arm to recline and watch TV. We went for this luxe neutral colour called ‘wheat’ to bring some warm, Med sunset vibes into the room but love that the Belgian linen covers are removable and can be easily washed, replaced or interchanged for an alternative colour.

A PLUSH RUG

You know how much we love a rug for how it anchors a space in an open plan room and when it’s hand tufted using luxurious New Zealand wool your toes will love it too. This Berber style rug adds texture and a contrast to the smooth Woodcut floorboards.

ADD ART & SOFT STUFF

When your entire home inspo is #SantoriniInSydney and you find a print called Santorini Lookout - you buy it! And all the Greek-inspired vases you can get your hot little hands on.

We chose a cluster of coffee tables for height and flexibility. Having two smaller tables means they’re easy to move around if you’re entertaining or to bring the popcorn bowl closer on movie nights. Similarly, the mango wood stools double as side tables to pop your drinks on.

Last, but certainly not least, comes the soft stuff… a textured boucle pouf (extra seating or a foot rest - take your pick!), a throw on the armchair, cushions galore - and ready, set, relax!
