MY MINERAL POOL CONVERSION

If you ask me what I’m passionate about, I’m quick to rattle off “my family (including #befreythebunny), my work… and my pool”. Yep, that’s right, I’ve always been slightly obsessed with my pool. Looking down on it from my office window always makes me feel happy and relaxed and it’s the first place my family and I escape to for R&R together.

My pool always looks amazing because it’s self-cleaning #asgoodasitsounds, so I jumped at the chance to make my pool feel just as good by converting it from saltwater to mineral. But this isn’t just any mineral system, Mineral Swim is #nextlevel! It’s the only system which uses minerals from the Dead Sea (literally!) to make the water feel soft and moisturising. People have been bathing in the Dead Sea for centuries for rejuvenation and detox benefits… and now I’ve got some of that therapeutic magic in my very own backyard.

How mineral pools are

different

Mineral pools use natural magnesium ingredients, making the water soothing and therapeutic. There are no harsh chemicals and the water feels seriously softer and smoother. Say goodbye to the smell of chlorine, stinging eyes and tight skin. A mineral pool can make your whole body feel relaxed and rejuvenated. We can already feel the difference in our pool and we’ve only had the system for a few weeks. I think mineral pools are the healthiest way for families to swim. Think about it - your skin is the largest organ on your body and it absorbs whatever you put on it. When you (and your kids) are immersed in a swimming pool, your skin is going to absorb the good (and bad) ingredients that are in the water. Wouldn’t you prefer to be absorbing natural, magnesium-rich minerals from pure water rather than synthetic chemicals? The true torture test is for people with sensitive skin. Dermatologists and biochemists around the world have been talking up the calming and healing effects of magnesium on sensitive skin, with the ancient act of balneotherapy (bathing in natural mineral-rich water) still regularly recommended for sufferers of eczema.

Why the Mineral Swim System is different to other MINERAL POOLS

I chose a system called Mineral Swim for my pool because it’s the only magnesium-based filtration product on the market that does not use any synthetic processes or ingredients to create or treat the minerals #aunatural My hubby’s a bit of a health freak and he sings the praises of magnesium so it didn’t take much to get him over the line either.

There is no harsh chlorine involved because Mineral Swim uses ‘Ozone’ which is a naturally occurring element that works with the minerals and reacts with oxygen to purify and sanitise water. It’s much more powerful than traditional purification systems like chlorine but has no odour and no harsh chemicals. And it makes pool water crystal clear. This Ozone-to-Oxygen element is totally unique to Mineral Swim.

Thinking about a mineral pool at your place?

Installation of the Mineral Swim System is easy in a new or an existing pool. My saltwater pool was converted in under an hour! You can install a new system starting from $2,400. The ongoing cost of minerals is about $45 per bag and you should only need about 5 bags per year. The Ozone Swim unit also means your chlorinator doesn’t have to work so hard so there are savings to be made there too. But at the end of the day, a mineral pool is an investment. An investment in a superior swimming experience that relaxes and rejuvenates! So am I preaching to the converted?
